04 Mar 2D1N itinerary in Melaka: An Insta-worthy guide
Malacca is not only full of historical traces, but also a treasure place for eating, drinking and playing! Here we would like to recommend a relaxing trip to Malacca!
1. Encore Melaka
It is one of the most representative buildings in Malacca. The innovative style and ultra-modern appearance had became a hot spot for everyone. Besides, the evening lights are also very unique. In addition, it is recommended to watch the staged drama of “The Malacca” which is full of culture.
2. Kielh‘s Mural, Jonker Walk
Secondly, Kielh’s Mural at Jonker Walk is also a must place to visit because the maintenance facilities of the old street have been greatly improved recently. This colourful mural is one of my favourite places as the bright colours look very cheerful and great in the photos, it brings out a kind of holiday feel. I would suggest you to visit here in the morning or in the evening, for the reason that it will be very hot at noon.
3. Heesan Café
Furthermore, the fun-filled décor next door is one of my favourite details. The combination of vintage, artistic, and industrial styles is such a surprise. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very good, thus it is suitable for relaxing and chatting with friends at here.
4. Chop Tiang Bee Café
This is a great restaurant that everyone loves. The dishes combine traditional Malacca’s “Nyonya” features with their own innovative flavours, as well as espresso coffee and homemade baked cakes. This Cafe was only operated a few weeks ago, feel free to come and have a try~
5. Locahauz Café
For those who like the casual atmosphere and appreciate the special decoration, this is a places you must visit! The patio in the middle of the old house is planted with various plants which made the surrounding look beautifully. I personally feel that one of the biggest features of the store is their drink. The drinks is decorated with flowers and carefully blended, thus it is definitely a good way to relieve summer heat.
6. Huang Chang Chicken Rice
Speaking of Malacca, of course, you have to eat chicken rice ball. We have tried several restaurant that sell chicken rice ball, and among the all, the most favourite chicken rice ball by us is “Huangchang Hainan Chicken Rice”. The rice grains belong to a relatively solid taste, and the white pheasant taste very tender and smooth.
7. Bikini Toppings
The name of the store is very cute, but unfortunately, there are no bikini girls in the store. They are famous because of their Coconut Ice Cream and Coconut Shake. Come here and drink a cool coconut drink after walking the whole day at Jonker Street, will definitely make you felt great.
8. East & West Rendezvous
Nyonya Dumplings is one of the signatures here. Although the price is quite high (RM 7.50), but it is true delicious. Their Sweet Cendol (RM 4.50) taste not bad too. After a long day of shopping, it is the best decision to come here with friends to cool off.

9. Putu Piring Tengkera
Putu Piring is known as a plate steamed cake. It is a handmade Nyonya pastry made from glutinous rice flour, coconut sugar and shredded coconut. It takes only 2-3 minutes of walk from Muk Victoria Home, thus it is very convenient~
10. Kuih Keria Antarabangsa Hjh Rahmah
Lastly, Kuih Keria of this store is one of the must-eat snacks in Malacca. Kuih Keria is a pastry made with sweet potato, wrapped in sweet syrup.
11. MUK by Victoria Home Melaka Boutique Hotel
To have a better staying experience in Melaka, the best hotel to stay in Melaka I would suggest MUK, because this hotel is surrounded by countless historic attractions and wide varieties of mouth-watering delicacies. The bustling Jonker Street is just 600m away from this boutique hotel and a short walk will bring you there. Other than that, the outlook of the hotel is in heritage decor while minimalist design on the interior and all of the room, thus it is a very nice location to take photo.
